MANCHESTER — The Berlin-Gorham boys’ hockey team capped off a magical season in style on Saturday afternoon. The No. 1 seeded Mountaineers closed the book on their undefeated season by beating No. 2 Pembroke-Campbell 2-0 to win the Division III Championship at the Southern New Hampshire Arena in Manchester before a large passionate group of fans from the North Country.
This was B-G’s fourth championship in the past five years and fifth straight appearance in the finals. The Mountaineers won three titles in a row beginning in 2020 when they and Kennett High were named co-champions due to the COVID-shortened season; in 2021, they topped Hollis-Brookline-Derryfield 5-1; and in 2022, beat Belmont-Gilford 3-1.
