TAMWORTH — Selectmen are considering a scenario in which the town purchases the North Country Recycling property on Plains Road for a new transfer station and forks over the deed to the current transfer station on Route 25 to sweeten the deal.
However, the owner of North Country Recycling is unwilling to wait for next March’s town meeting vote. So the town would have to ask Carroll County Superior Court for permission to hold a special town meeting regarding the purchase.
