Bob was humiliated and depressed post-surgery. (COURTESY PHOTO)

When I moved to Jackson in 1999 with four dogs, finding a veterinarian was my first order of business. Despite the inconvenience of having to drive from Jackson all the way to Fryeburg for every canine issue, I chose the Fryeburg Veterinary Hospital as my provider, the deciding factor being that clientele had access to 24-hour emergency services. Over the years, I availed myself of this service on multiple occasions with multiple pets, as my animals seem not to limit their medical emergencies to business hours. They’re simply not that considerate.

Fryeburg veterinarians have mended, stitched, extracted quills and performed life-saving surgeries, all after hours. They’ve also been available via telephone to talk me through situations I might be able to handle at home. Their availability gave me reassurance that if needed, help was within a reasonable distance.

Bob, you have been granted the gift of charity by your mom and dad, Jonna and Scott. Please consider being a good boy so that you can keep your remaining ear and other body parts. You can do this, I have faith.
