CONWAY — A Maine man accused of striking a pedestrian in a North Conway crosswalk in 2022 while driving after his license was suspended or revoked, is heading to trial. Christopher A Churchill, 53, of Buxton, Maine, was indicted by a Carroll County Superior Court grand jury on Sept. 16 for driving after revocation or suspension regarding an incident that took place on June 13, of 2022 in the heart of North Conway Village near Valley Food and Beverage. The indictment is being charged as a Class B felony.
“Christopher A Churchill, knowingly drove a motor vehicle in this state during a period of suspension or revocation of his or her license or driving privilege and is involved in a collision resulting in death or serious bodily injury, as defined in RSA 625:11,VI. To wit: Christopher Churchill struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk on White Mountain Highway in North Conway, causing serious bodily innury while his driver’s license was suspended or revoked by the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles on Nov. 2, 2016,” reads the indictment signed by then Deputy County Attorney Keith Blair who has since been promoted to being County Attorney.
