CONWAY — Conway School District's administrative team's recommendation for a school configuration is that Pine Tree School in Center Conway would close.

On Jan 22, the Conway School Board voted 5-2 (Randy Davison, Mike DiGregorio, Barbara Lyons, Amy Snow and Ryan Wallace in favor; Michaela Clement and Matt Stearns opposed) to close a school and to move the sixth grade to Kennett Middle School by the 2025-26 school year.

Of course you’re in favor of closing PineTree. No surprise there. They’ve been looking to close Pine Tree all along. Never for one minute would they close Fuller. Economically, Pine Tree is not the one to close. But… the location isn’t North Conway

First you take way the town hall, now the school. What next do you have in store for Center Conway? Oh btw, the speeding by the town beach on Conway Lake is out of control during the summer. Please do something before a child is hurt.

though it’s a better fit and less costly to operate
