Berlin Middle School one of four in state to get bomb threat

By Barbara Tetreault BERLIN — The Berlin Middle and Hillside Elementary School complex was one of four schools in the state that were the target of a bomb threat Monday morning. Students and staff were evacuated out of the building for more than three hours while the building was searched first by local police and then by a K-9 unit from state police. Part of Monday afternoon was spent in the cafeteria of the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. One part of one wall of the cafeteria has been set aside for the displaying of works by the area’s artists. Allen J. Dupont, 64, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Country Village in Lancaster. He was born in Berlin on August 5, 1951 the son of Donald H. and Evelyn M.
