Fire destroyed Pleasant Street building

BERLIN – Fire early Sunday morning destroyed a vacant three-story building at 148 Pleasant Street. The call came in at 4:15 a.m. and there was heavy fire and smoke when firefighters arrived at the scene.Firefighting efforts were over by 8 a.m. but a crew remained at the scene and that section of Pleasant Street was closed to traffic Sunday morning.
