Edgar N. Oliver, 75, of Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Berlin, died in Port Richey on May 3, 2017 after a long illness.
Ed was born in Berlin on March 3, 1942 the son of Norman and Mary (Brisson) Oliver. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1959. Ed was employed for Brown Company for several years and owned and operated the Pine Tree Motel in Lancaster. Following the sale of the motel, Ed moved to Florida where he continued to work in property management.
Ed loved spending time at the family camp in Bryant Pond Maine and loved playing golf. His idol was Larry Bird, and he was an avid Celtics fan. He was also a New York Giants fan.
Ed is survived by his wife Gail (Anderson) Oliver; two daughters, Debbie (Oliver) Pendleton of Colorado and Lori Hatch of Wolfeboro; two sisters, Sylvia Metivier and Mary Ann Wilson of Laconia; four grandchildren, three stepchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, along with step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother-in-law, Clark Metivier, and a niece Sheila Emanuel. Memorial services for Ed will be held in June and July in Port Richey and New Hampshire.
